Doulas For All

Doulas For All is a Queer, Trans, Black, Indigenous and People of Color (QTBIPOC) led coalition organizing toward Medicaid reimbursements for birth doulas. During the 2022 Washington State legislative session, the coalition wrote, lobbied, and passed ESHB 1881 - a bill to establish birth doulas as a profession in Washington state, making the reimbursements possible.

Our Words Build Power

Our Words Build Power is a community participatory action research project analyzing the structural and individual impacts on QTBIPOC health and wellness during the COVID-19 pandemic. This project is focused specifically on documenting our communities' narratives of resistance and resilience in order to inform ongoing local and statewide advocacy and community organizing campaigns.

Black Perinatal Health Campaign

The Black Perinatal Health Campaign is a partnership between Black birth workers,families of color, and Surge Reproductive Justice. This campaign is an opportunity for Black people to build and strategize as for holistic solutions to supporting our birthing and pregnant people, their families, and the Black birth workers who support them.

DecrimWA Coalition

The Decriminalize Washington policy table is a partnership between QTBIPOC-led organizations comprised of and/or serving sex workers and Surge Reproductive Justice.

The long-term goal of this campaign is to run a bill decriminalizing sex work statewide.

Just Speak

Just Speak is our reproductive justice storytelling and political education series, where we cover topics such as sex positivity, abortion, abolition, the non-profit industrial complex, parenting through a social justice lens, and more.

Resource Mobilizing Program

The Resource Mobilizing program aims to build a shared intersectional analysis through leadership development opportunities paired with redistribution of resources.
